B-V BREAD DRESSING RECIPE
This is a wartime recipe from Home Makers Prize

Wilson & Co., circa 1940s.
B-V BREAD DRESSING
4 tbsp. margarine or bacon drippings
2 tbsp. minced onion
1/2 cup water
2 tsp. Wilson's B-V
2 qts. soft bread crumbs (1 lb.)
1/2 tsp. sage
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup milk (about)
Brown onions in fat over low heat, add water and when hot
add B-V and stir until dissolved.
Sprinkle sage over bread crumbs, add hot
B-V mixture and mix well. Add beaten egg
combined with about half of milk, adding as much of
remaining milk, gradually, as needed.
Delicious served with B-V
Gravy!
