HOT CRABMEAT APPETIZER RECIPE

This recipe is from the Favorite Recipes cookbook, Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese, Kraft, 1988.

HOT CRABMEAT APPETIZER

1 8-oz. pkg. Philadelphia Brand Cream Cheese, softened
1 7-1/2 oz. can crabmeat, drained, flaked
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon Kraft Cream Style Horseradish
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted

Combine all ingredients except almonds, mixing until well blended.  Spoon mixture into 9-inch pie plate; sprinkle with almonds.  Bake at 375°, 15 minutes.  Serve with crackers.

Approximately 1-1/2 cups

Variations

Substitute 8-oz. can minced clams, drained, for crabmeat.

Omit almonds; sprinkle with dill weed.
